Which am I?
Type 2 or Type 4?
The Caregiver vs the Seeker
Twos and Fours are both caring, emotional and deeply affected by their relationships, so they're often mixed up. Under stress, Fours can even cling and look for reassurance like Twos. But Twos turn their attention outward to other people's needs, while Fours turn inward to their own feelings.
How they're alike
- Feel things strongly and care deeply about relationships
- Can feel overlooked or unappreciated
- Good at sensing what others are feeling
How to tell them apart

Type 2, The Caregiver
- What they're after
- To be close to people and know they matter to them.
- What they're avoiding
- Being left out, or no longer needed.
You might be a Two if…
- you're quick to notice a friend's needs and slow to mention your own.
- you tend to look on the bright side, even when you're hurting.
- you show love by doing things for people.
- you'd like people to see how much you give.

Type 4, The Seeker
- What they're after
- To be truly themselves, and be seen that way.
- What they're avoiding
- Going unseen, or never knowing who they really are.
You might be a Four if…
- you know your own feelings well and would rather name them than hide them.
- you'd rather be honest about sadness than pretend to be fine.
- you show love by really understanding someone and staying with them through hard times.
- you'd like people to see who you really are underneath.
If you see yourself in both, read the Two and Four pages and go with the motives that feel truer.
